Consultation into Faster Broadband coverage

The public consultation is now closed.

The purpose of this public consultation is to confirm the areas which do not have Next Generation Access (NGA) broadband infrastructure delivering at least 30Mbps (classed as white), or where there are no plans to provide such infrastructure over the next three years.

We would like to ensure that Connecting Cheshire can reach as many white areas as possible, but under our current and proposed funding we are unable to guarantee to reach all areas, although we expect further funding will enable us to increase the scope of the roll-out funding via Connecting Cheshire. Other providers are also expected to increase their coverage under their own commercial criteria over the next 3 years.

From the public’s perspective we wish to clarify all those areas receiving less than 30Mbps. If you feel we have not classed your locality correctly please let us know following the instructions outlined in the attached document. If your locality is classed as white we do not require any further confirmation from you at this stage. A map and list of postcodes are provided in order to assist you.
